Rose & Co. are a brand I’ve had my eye on for a while now, but have only just gotten round to trying. Today I’m going to be sharing my thoughts on two hand creams from their Patisserie de Bain range – Strawberry Cupcake and Cranberries & Cream.
Rose & Co. was created by Patricia and Caroline Rose when they bought an old druggists shop in Haworth, Yorkshire. With a love of all things vintage, beautiful and romantic, they restored the shop to its former Victorian splendour and a quirky but charming beauty apothecary was born.
They now stock absolutely hundreds of beautiful products, and the Patisserie de Bain range I mentioned before is one of their most popular ranges. It consists of lots of pretty cakes and confections for the bath, lovingly hand made here in the UK in the Rose & Co. kitchens. They sell by the thousand every month, and I can totally understand why.
The hand creams that I recently tried come in dinky little 50ml tubes, and the packaging is beautiful and girly, which is right up my street. The Strawberry Cupcake one is pastel pink, and the Cranberries & Cream one is cream and deep pink. I think that the colours that have been used suit their names perfectly.
Strawberry Cupcake
First up I tried the Strawberry Cupcake hand cream, which has the lovely scent of strawberry oil. It has quite a subtle scent compared to a lot of other strawberry hand creams I’ve used in the past, but I think it’s probably has the most authentic smell. You can actually smell it faintly for hours after applying it, and it leaves my hands feeling extremely soft and moisturised.
Cranberries & Cream
My favourite of the two hand creams though has got to be Cranberries & Cream one. The scent is slightly tangy (as you’d expect) but is in no way overpowering. I throw this in my bag most days when I’m heading out as I really love it, and I think I probably reapply it a lot more than I need to just because it’s so delicious! And again, it leaves my hands feeling super soft and moisturised.
The Patisserie de Bain hand creams sink into the skin really fast, and they don’t leave my hands feeling greasy at all, which is a big bonus for me as I hate it when I’ve applied one and then I feel like I can’t pick anything up for ages incase I leave a great big greasy stain on it.
These particular hand creams are most definitely two of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of using, and I would purchase them again in a heartbeat. They are also available in lots of other scents, and I’d like to try their ‘Sweet as Cherry Pie’ and ‘Lemon Bon Bon’ versions next. They sound delicious!
