I’ve recently been having a bit of a clear out ready for Christmas (I know, I know, I’ve just used the C-word in September. I’m such a rebel). And during my clear out my handbag collection has most definitely been reduced. So with all the pennies I’ve earned from selling my unwanted goods on eBay, I thought I’d treat myself to a nice new designer one. The only problem is, there’s so many that I want. Aargh!
With that in mind, I thought I’d shared my updated designer handbag wishlist with you guys today. And I’m hoping that you can maybe help me choose which one to get next. So, are you sitting comfortably? Then let me show you my favourites from ones I’ve currently got my eye on …
Balenciaga Metallic Edge City Bag – £1,560
First up is a bag that I’ve been lusting after for what feels like forever – the Balenciaga Metallic Edge City Bag in a beautiful blush hue. These bags come in a range of different sizes, but I think the smallest one would be ideal for someone like me as I try not to carry too much round with me these days.
The bag is made from textured leather, has a two-way zip fastening along the top, and comes with Balenciaga’s iconic hardware in a gorgeous silver colour. I think my favourite part about it though just has to be the whipstitched top handles – they’re so pretty! And the pale blush colour will compliment virtually any outfit. I just love it.
Jimmy Choo Lockett Petite Leather Shoulder Bag – £895
Another bag I’ve had my eye on for ages (and have talked about several times here on my blog) is the Jimmy Choo Lockett Petite Leather Shoulder Bag. I think this particular bag would look fab paired with a little black dress and killer heels on a night out, and it’s available in loads of different colour combinations.
My personal favourite colour combination is the smooth black leather with chrome hardware. Isn’t it gorgeous? I think it makes for a lovely feminine choice that could be worn either across the body or over the shoulder. And the unique push-lock feature would ensure that all your important belongings were kept safe and sound. If I could only choose one designer handbag for the rest of my life, it would definitely be this!
Chloé Faye Medium Leather and Suede Shoulder Bag – £1,280
If you guys read my previous designer handbag wishlist post you’ll know that I have a bit of a penchant for Chloé bags. So, of course, I had to include one on this list. And the one I’d really like to add to my ever-growing collection is the beautiful Chloé Faye leather and suede shoulder bag in a beautiful pale grey shade.
The stunning shoulder bag is part of Chloé’s coveted ‘Faye’ family and is expertly made from a tactile mix of suede and leather. The super slim bag opens to show an accordion-style interior fitted with a zipped pocket to keep all of your essentials organised. And the polished gold equestrian-inspired ring and chain gives it the most beautiful finishing touch. It’s the bag of dreams for any Chloé fan.
Kate Spade New York Small Sam Primrose Satchel Bag – £193
Mustard shades are staying in fashion this autumn, so I’d love to treat myself to a bag that would be sure to add a pop of colour to any outfit. And I feel this small satchel bag from Kate Spade would be just perfect! It’s by far the cheapest bag on my current designer handbag wishlist but it’s just as pretty as the others.
The ‘Sam’ is super spacious and features two open sections with two slip pockets and a single zip pocket. Plus, there’s a central zipped section for added security. The versatile bag is finished with twin grab handles and a removable, adjustable shoulder strap. There are metal feet to the base keep the bag protected when placed down. It also includes a luggage charm and has the signature Kate Spade branding to the front. What’s not to love?!
Valentino Garavani Rockstud Textured Leather Shoulder Bag – £830
I feel like I’ve said this about every single bag on my wishlist, but next up we have the Valentino Garavani Rockstud Textured Leather Shoulder Bag, which I’ve been wanting to add to my collection for ages! I absolutely adore textured leather at the moment, and I think Valentino’s signature pyramid ‘Rockstuds’ (which are galvanized to retain their shine), look amazing sat on top of it!
I have a lot of friends who own this bag, and they all agree that it’s one of the best investment pieces they have in their collections. This is because this particular style of handbag never really goes out of fashion, as well as being the perfect size to take you from day to night. It’s also really versatile as it can be worn cross-body, over the shoulder, or as a clutch if you tuck in the strap. Another gorgeous piece that I’d love to get my hands on.
Michael Kors Voyager Medium Tote Bag – £295
And last, but certainly not least, I’ve picked out the gorgeous Voyager Tote Bag from Michael Kors. I’ve not picked up a tote bag for ages, so this one really caught my eye when I spotted it whilst out shopping a couple of weeks ago. The bag is crafted from textured leather with a structured silhouette, and I think the soft acorn colour is perfect for the upcoming autumn months.
The ‘Voyager’ bag features a top zip fastening that opens to reveal a lined interior with lots of lovely storage space: nine slip pockets, one zip pocket and a central zipped compartment. It comes complete with adjustable side tie detail and two adjustable grab handles. As you’d imagine, it features Michael Kors branding on the front and has protective metal feet to the base. I also like that it’s one of the more affordable designer handbags on my wishlist. I may actually be able to justify buying this one!
And there you have it – my updated designer handbag wishlist. I have to be honest and say it’s highly unlikely I’ll ever be able to afford to treat myself to any of these bags. But a girl can dream, right? Don’t forget to let me know which one I should get if I suddenly get rich. I’m rubbish at making decisions for myself!
