We all like to look our best, at least sometimes. Other times we’re not planning on leaving the house or seeing anyone, so we don’t bother to get dressed or brush our hair.
But what about those times when you need to be somewhere looking good – or at least presentable – but you’re short on time, or simply short on inclination?
Fear not, there are ways of looking good just after you’ve got out of bed, without actually looking like you just got out of bed.

TINTED MOISTURISER
Tinted moisturiser is a gamechanger for those of us who would like to even out our skin tone but don’t like the ‘made-up’ finish that comes from wearing foundation.
Whatever your skin tone, you’ll find a suitable tinted moisturiser. It comes in all shades, it (unsurprisingly) moisturises your face, protects your skin from the sun and gives you a dewy, healthy glow.
You can apply tinted moisturiser quickly with your fingers, so there’s no need to spend time blending it with sponges and you won’t even need to set it with powder afterwards.
Simply put, if you want flawless skin without the faff, tinted moisturiser is for you.

FALSE EYELASHES
If you’ve run away at the thought of false eyelashes – stop! Come back! False eyelashes aren’t as scary as they sound and you don’t have to look like you’ve given a home to small furry creatures on your eyelids.
Individual lashes are available in a variety of curls, thicknesses and lengths and the best thing is they’re realistic, soft and fluffy. Actually, scrap that – the best thing about individual lashes is that they can last for weeks, so they save you having to get out the mascara.
False eyelashes will make your eyes look bigger and brighter but make sure you get synthetic, cruelty-free ones.

DRINK WATER
Okay, drinking a glass of water when you get up in the morning won’t magically give you wonderful skin by the time you get downstairs, but if you get into the habit of drinking a few glasses of water daily, you should reap some benefits.
There’s a lack of research on how beneficial drinking water actually is to your skin but, let’s face it, being hydrated rather than dehydrated is going to benefit you.
Hydrated skin will look clearer and maintain its elasticity better, which means plumper skin with fewer wrinkles (not that there’s anything wrong with wrinkles, of course!)
You don’t need to spend money on expensive and environmentally damaging bottled water – tap water is fine. If you don’t trust what comes out of your tap, water filters and purifiers are easily available and affordable.
These are just three beauty tips for lazy people. Of course, there’s no need to ever put on a full face of make-up if you don’t want to – beauty comes from within, after all. But on those days when you want to make an effort without actually making an effort, keep the above in mind.
