Mums. Most of us have one, and there’s nothing like the bond between a loving mum and her children. Even before birth, your mum is your provider, protector and first attachment. From then on, your mum does everything.
Your first day at school, riding a bike and moving into your first home. Your mum is always there. And as much as your mum knows how much you love her, there are some easy and quick ways you can show your appreciation to brighten up her day.

SEND A LITTLE BUNCH
All mums love flowers. There are flowers for just about any occasion, and the tradition dates back to the times of Pharaohs and Caesars. Today, the flower industry is alive and well and worth billions of pounds just in the UK. Specific flowers have meanings attached to them, and their colours also represent different things. However, these are culture-dependent.
But whatever the culture or occasion, you can always depend on a lovely bunch of flowers to brighten up anyone’s day. Small note cards are traditionally sent with flowers. These are used to convey gratitude or appreciation. But you can consider the Thank You Collection from Flowercard. Flowercard inserts flowers inside personalised cards, trugs and boxes.

USE EMOJIS AND GIFS
There are over 6 billion active smartphones globally, and as a society, we are glued to the tiny screens. The average person spends three hours per day on their phone using social media, browsing the web and shopping. Since you are already there, why not take a minute to use the fun features of a smartphone to put a smile on your mum’s face?
Apps like Facebook Messenger have the option to send fun and cute GIFs as a message when you text someone. There is a GIF for pretty much anything you can think of. But it doesn’t get much better than when you send someone a virtual hug. Give it a try. Another feature is the much appreciated Emoji. Emojis are a 21st-century evolution of the smiley face and are best used to state how you feel about something.

POP ROUND FOR A CUPPA
Now that the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic is over, you are now socially and legally allowed to enjoy the company of others. Thank fudge for that. You thought it would go on forever, right? Anyway, now that it is essentially all over, it would be nice of you to take the time to pop round and have a cheeky cuppa with your mum whenever you can. Small moments like that are the ones you miss when you can no longer do them.
While a cuppa used to mean the traditional mug on English tea. Of which no such thing exists, but that’s another story. Anyhoo, the world of trade and imports, cultural acceptance and corporate influence means a cuppa can be many things. But whether you prefer a healthy green tea, delicate oolong (which is just fun to say) or a rich coffee, enjoying a cuppa with someone is a grand tradition no matter where in the world you are.
