Here in the UK, Summer is well and truly on its way. And, if you’re anything like me, you’ll have been dreaming about walking down a deserted beach somewhere with the sand between your toes and a gentle breeze in your hair for weeks. Unfortunately, I still have a little while to go before I finally get to live that dream, so in the meantime I’ve been using something at home that makes me feel all summery instead … and that something is the Sunset Beach Collection from Method.
Yes, you read that right! I’ve been using a new collection of cleaning products that have made me feel all summery. But before you jump to conclusions and label me as a complete and utter nutter, why not hear me out? You might decide you need to try it for yourself!
Method’s Sunset Beach Collection includes a hand wash, a dish soap and an all-purpose surface cleanser with a scent like no other cleaning products I’ve ever used! It’s made up of melon, orange and plumcot, and is surprisingly lovely and fresh – not at all what you’d expect from something like this.
The packaging is super pretty as well – which is something I feel passionate about. I usually end up decanting cleaning products into my own containers as I find most packaging to be dull and boring, but this collection has really funky and bright, stripey packaging, inspired by beach balls and sun umbrella’s, adding to the summer holiday feel. I think this is a fabulous feature and hope the lovely people at Method continue to design bottles that you can proudly display in your home for many years to come.
And as well as looking great, Method products are planet friendly and free of chemical nasties, so they’re safe to use around the whole family.
Hand Wash
Hand wash is something we get through a lot of in our house. I especially like this one from Method as it is a gel formula, which I think makes it easier to see how well you’re washing your hands. It also smells great (just like the rest of the Sunset Beach Collection) and the scent lingers on your skin for absolutely ages after you’ve washed them. I think we all wash our hands just that little more often nowadays!
Method Hand Wash costs £2.50 for 354ml
Dish Soap
This is possibly my favourite product from the Sunset Beach Collection. I love that the bottle is quite an unusual shape, and that it has a pump dispenser rather than the liquid having to be squeezed out. In theory this should mean that I use up more of the product than I usually would, and since I hate waste, this can only be a good thing!
The soap can be used by either pumping a little onto a sponge or directly into the washing up bowl, and even the tiniest pump kicks off some serious scent and works fantastically compared to a lot of other washing up liquids I’ve used in the past. It powers through grease and stuck on food with ease and I’ve been seriously impressed with it so far.
Method Dish Soap costs £3.00 for 532ml
All-Purpose Natural Surface Cleaner
The all-purpose surface cleaner is also one of the best products I’ve ever used. It cuts through even the most stubborn of surface stains quickly and easily, and I’ve found that since I’ve been using this as my every day cleaner I can get through my cleaning in almost half the time it takes when using other products. And the shine that it leaves is just incredible. I’ve never seen my kitchen looking as clean as it does right now, and I’m one of those people who gives it a thorough clean every day.
According to the bottle, this cleaner can be used on counters, tiles, stone, wood and glass, and I’ve tried it out on the majority of them and found this to be true.
Method All-Purpose Natural Surface Cleaners cost £3.00 for 828ml
Overall I found the Sunset Beach Collection from Method to do an absolutely fantastic job, and I will most definitely be repurchasing all 3 items in the near future. I’ve also got my eye on some of their other products since browsing their website earlier on today.
The Sunset Beach Collection is a limited edition range and will be available exclusively at Tesco very soon.

The price of Method stuff has always put me off a bit but I’ve been tempted by these new ones, as you say the packaging is beautiful. I really want to try more eco friendly house cleaning stuff too.

I usually clean with baking soda and vinegar when I get sick of the toxic cleaners, but trying a ready made natural cleaner sounds great to me! I am not familiar with Method but they seem great! I hope that they are powerful cleaners. Thanks for sharing!
