When in the city, you will be able to experience a range of Catalan cuisine to satisfy your culinary tastes. There is also a range of food festivals that take place each year, as well as street markets that can provide locally fresh sourced cuisine, giving you a real taste of what Barcelona is all about. However, if you want to stick to foods that you are used to, there are plenty of recognisable chains and restaurants in the city, ensuring there is something available for everyone.

    I would love to visit Barcelona! There is so much history, architecture and beauty to see. I hope to do a lot more travelling now that our kids are a little older and it makes things easier to travel.

    I have never been to Barcelona before. I have not even been out of the country before. It definitely sounds like a beautiful place to visit. I would be most interested in seeing all the beautiful buildings and trying the different food.

    I’m obsessed with Barcelona. I’ve never been but I’ve got it on my bucket list and I have a board of all of the places I want to go there on Pinterest. I’m adding your post to it. That top building is so cool, one of the many reasons why I want to visit. The architecture and the food are 2 reasons why I can’t wait to go.

    I wish you could’ve seen how I was agreeing with all your points, guess I really do need a break from all this chilly weather and start planning for a vacation. Never been to Barcelona but I will go and I know that so this is great to know when the time comes.

    barcelona is def on top of my list, my friend was just there a couple months ago and raved about how much she loved it. how incredible it was and how the food was amazing.
