Working in a busy office can take its toll on us from time to time. Sometimes it’s just that little bit too difficult for us to simply go out into the world and take it by storm alone, especially if we’ve already spent a long time stuck in traffic on the morning commute. 

Sometimes we all need a little boost to help us get through the day, and here are some of the best ideas you can use to kick start the day and give you that much needed energy boost for the week.

Green Tea

If you don’t like the taste of coffee, or you just don’t want that same caffeine buzz that you’d get from other drinks, green tea can be the perfect companion to your morning. Imagine rolling into work on a freezing cold day, boiling the kettle and sitting at your desk with a steaming mug of healthy tea in your hands. If that’s not the perfect remedy to an otherwise chilly start to the day, then we don’t know what is. The great added benefit of green tea is that it will kick start your metabolism for the day and can help you to shed the pounds.

Superfood Smoothie 

If you want to keep your body healthy and fit during the week, as well as make yourself a super quick breakfast in the mornings; superfood smoothies are the answer to your prayers. Instead of simply eating a bowl of cereal in the morning, blend a combination of frozen berries, banana and spinach in a smoothie maker and take it to work with you. It will fill your body with healthy vitamins and minerals as well as being a great way to give you some energy.

Honest Coffee

If you want that caffeine boost in the morning which can only come from a steaming cup of coffee with plenty of sugar; why not make the effort to buy yourself the best quality coffee? Honest coffee provide ethically sourced coffee grains which you can use in your coffee machine very morning to give you that get up and go for that day. It might be able to give you the strength you need to talk about Karen’s love troubles at 8 am in the morning.

One great way to keep yourself healthy and give you that energy you need to get through the mid-morning meeting are supplements. You can take anything from vitamin D for your bones, vitamin C for energy and even a mix of all vitamins at once. Your body will feel much more awake and you will be protected from getting the dreaded office bug too.

A lot of the time working in an office can make your eyes and skin feel a little bit dry and irritated. To combat this, you can use a rose water spray such as the Mario Badescu Rose Water to keep your face hydrated and feeling fresh.     I am a huge Green Tea fan. I love Matcha too although that can be a bit much for people… Love the ideas in this list, that face tonic sounds really lovely too! 🙂

    I LOVE coffee! Coffee then get on with my day, every single day. I wish I liked green tea because of all the health benefits, but I don’t, so I take tegreen supplements! 😊 x

    I love to have a cup of tea with raw honey. Even when I drink one that’s caffeine-free, it perks me up a bit!

    I find a good pick me up is to go for a run and get those energy levels up! I always feel much better after a work out

    I don’t work in an office but I have to have a coffee or two on a morning when I’m at work iuse the coffee machine. I’ve never tried green tea but I’m not a huge tea lover x

    For me it is a nice cup of Earl Grey tea but my daughter swears by green tea. I have to admit a Cadbury s flake Always picks me up

    I can’t start my day if I don’t drink a cup of coffee. I like high quality coffee which is usually quite strong so I can’t drink more than a cup per day. The smoothie idea sounds great, but I would try it for lunch rather in the morning 🙂

    A good smoothie or a cup of tea normally give me the pick I need. My main vice is too many Costa’s

    I love green tea but I often switch it up for Jasmine or Aniseed tea when I need something a little sweeter. Love the idea of a spritz of rose water throughout the day, cause my skin does get bad when I feel low. I definitely need to learn more healthy pick me up habits, but I’m a sucker for comfort eating at the end of a long day.

    I love the sound of the Rose Water Spray, I’ll definitely have to invest in that! I have to take a little walk away from my desk to give my eyes a rest from the screen

    Whenever I am feeling a bit down I have a superfood smoothie and I always feel 10 times better. It’s a great pick me up.

    My weekday pick me up is always a ginger shot from Pret! Perks me right up! I do feel like I need to be better with taking supplements though. Would love to hear your recommendations on a starter park for supplements?

    This is great list! I find that a wee drink of berroca works perfectly to give me a kick up the bum if I’m having a drowsy day!

    University sometimes really gets the better of me and I feel so exhausted and defeated, these tips are so great for those times! I can’t wait to try the supplements as I know those can help when your body really needs a pick me up! Thanks so much for sharing.
