Well guys, can you believe that Christmas is just around the corner? I certainly can’t. This year seems to have whizzed by a lot faster than any other. And it doesn’t seem like 2 minutes since I was last posting Christmas present ideas. Yet here I am publishing this years Skincare Christmas Gift Guide.
I thoroughly enjoyed putting this particular gift guide together as skincare products are some of my favourite things to gift. This year I’m super impressed with the selection that my favourite brands have to offer. And it was really hard to whittle it down to just these 10 products to share with you today. But I’m really happy with my selections. I hope it gives you some ideas for what you could treat the skincare junkie in your life to this Christmas. Enjoy!
The first gift in this years Skincare Christmas Gift Guide is the beautiful ‘Hydration Essentials’ cracker from my favourite French skincare brand, Caudalie. It contains 3 of their best selling hydration products in 10 and 15ml travel sizes : the Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum, the Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet and the Moisturising Mask.
The products themselves are lovely and gentle on the skin, and I’ve found them to be really hydrating too. I tend to have horribly dry skin in the winter time, and these products have really helped combat that. I can’t recommend this little set highly enough. And I for one would be over the moon to find this under my tree on Christmas morning!
If you like the sound of the Caudalie cracker but don’t know anyone who’s into their skincare enough to buy it for, they also do a body essentials cracker, with 3 gorgeous bodycare products inside. And it’s just as lucious as this one is!
ZOELLA LIP BALM DUO – £7.00
Next up in my Skincare Christmas Gift Guide we have this gorgeous pair of scented lip balms from YouTube sensation, Zoella. These have been at the top of my daughter Stacey’s wishlist since their release last month (along with pretty much everything else in the Zoella collection). So I just couldn’t resist adding them to my list. And I’ll bet you guys all know someone who would like these too!
The lip balm duo comes beautifully packaged. And the products themselves are housed in cute little heart shaped tins. The red tin has a delicious gingerbread scent to it, and has a touch of gold shimmer in too. And the rose gold one has that classic, warm vanilla scent that I really like in a lip balm. Both lip balms leave the lips feeling lovely and moisturised, and I highly recommend them for teenage girls or the younger skincare fan. Trust me, they’ll love you forever if they find a set of these in their Christmas stocking this year!
LIZ EARLE WINTER FACE MASKS £8.00 EACH
If you’ve been reading my blog for a fair amount of time now you will know that I am a big fan of face masks! I use them at least once a week (sometimes more) and I love gifting them as well as using them myself. This year I picked up a couple of winter face masks from one of my favourite skincare brands, Liz Earle, and I just had to include them in this gift guide as they’re absolutely divine.
I love the packaging of these – they come in a little prezzi box with a ribbon around, and I think you could probably hang them on your tree like a bauble if you liked! There are two variations of mask available in the Christmas gifting range : Winter Glow, which includes a 15ml brightening treatment mask infused with stimulating camphor oil and toning witch hazel to help give skin an instant glow. And Winter Nourishment, which includes a 15ml intensive nourishing mask containing West African shea, borage seed oil and calming comfrey to hydrate and soothe parched, stressed skin. Both sets also come with a pure cotton cloth (not pictured) to use when removing the masks.
Cleansing balms have become a big thing in the skincare world over the last few years. And my favourite of them all just has to be this one from Aromatherapy Associates. If you haven’t come across cleansing balms before they’re basically a balmy cleanser that you work into your skin, and if you wear makeup it just melts off quickly and easily, rather than having to be scrubbed.
The main reason I love this particular cleansing balm is that it’s super gentle on my skin, and the only one I can use to remove eye makeup without it stinging my eyes. Yay! It smells lovely too. And as it turns into an oily cleanser as you massage it into your skin a little bit really does go a long way.
This year I discovered a brand called Elemental Herbology. And I’ve been so impressed with their products that I just couldn’t resist adding one of their gift sets to this years Skincare Christmas Gift Guide! After a lot of deliberation I picked out the Radiance and Vitality Radiant Skin set, which contains a 25ml facial cleanser and a 15ml overnight resurfacing cream. When used together, these two products really help brighten the complexion, and they’re lovely and gentle on the skin as well.
The packaging of this is really gorgeous too. It’s a lovely sturdy box with an illustration on the front. And when you open it up, it has two compartments inside which house the products. I should also mention that these are suitable for all skin types, so it’s a great gift to give if you’re unsure of what types of product the lucky recipient can use.
Ole Henriksen is a brand I’ve heard people rave about for years, but I only recently tried myself. And guess what? I already love it! I picked out the ‘All Four Love’ Holiday Kit to feature in this years Skincare Christmas Gift Guide as it contains 4 mini versions of their best selling products, making it a fab way to introduce someone to the brand.
The products come packaged in a box with a cute design on the front, and inside it you get an African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser (which works fabulously with the Foreo Luna Go I’ve featured further down in this gift guide), a truth serum collagen booster, a sheer transformation creme and an invigorating night treatment. All 4 products are really lovely, and I think anyone who is into premium skincare would really appreciate receiving something like this this Christmas.
EMMA HARDIE MERRILY MORINGA BALM – £15.00
The next item in my Skincare Christmas Gift Guide is probably one of the most beautifully packaged gifts I’ve come across this year. It’s a Christmas bauble with a Emma Hardie mini Moringa Balm and Cleansing Cloth hidden inside. Now, I know I’ve already included a cleansing balm in this particular gift guide. But the Emma Hardie one is really sought after, so I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed to receive a gift like this. And I also think it would look super cute hung on a Christmas tree as well. What do you guys think?
Now, you may think next product in my Skincare Christmas Gift Guide seems really expensive, but I actually think it’s the one that offers the best value for money! Exclusive to Space NK, The Overnight Edition Duo contains two full sized award-winning products from Sarah Chapman : the Overnight Facial and the Overnight Hand and Nail Treatment, as well as a gorgeous grey pouch which is perfect for keeping makeup in.
The gift set comes in at £49.00 for all 3 products, but with them being full sized it has a whopping £82.00 value! I’d wanted to try the Overnight Facial for so long, but the £46.00 price tag had always put me off incase I didn’t like it. So as soon as I saw this in my local Space NK I just knew I had to snap it up. And I’m really glad I did as both skincare products are absolutely wonderful. I will definitely be repurchasing when they run out!
Over the last few years electric cleansing devices have become big business. My personal favourite of all the ones available at the moment is the Foreo LUNA Mini 2 that I reviewed earlier in the year. So imagine my delight when I found out that a handy travel version had been released in the form of the Foreo LUNA Go!
The device is nice and compact and it works in the same way as the other devices in the Foreo range – so after applying your cleanser you work your way around your face with it and it effectivily cleanses and exfoliates as you go. Its varying soft, non-porous touch points perform an effective cleanse on the skin, lifting away dirt, oil and makeup residue to reveal a fresher looking complexion.
These devices are safe to use in the bath and shower, and one of my favourite features it that one charge lasts for up to 30 uses, whereas similar products I’ve used in the past have needed charging at least once a week. The Foreo Luna Go is sure to make a lovely little prezzi for any skincare fan!
FOREO NIGHT AND DAY CLEANSER BUNDLE* – £55.00
And last but certainly not least I have another product from Foreo : their Night and Day Cleanser bundle. Now, these two products are obviously designed to compliment the LUNA devices, but they also work well on their own. They smell really nice and whenever I’ve used these they leave my skin feeling like it’s had a really deep clean. Both cleansers are 100ml and when used alongside a cleansing device a little bit of product goes a long way! I love them.
And there you have it – my Skincare Christmas Gift Guide! I hope it’s given you some ideas of what you could gift the skincare lover in your life this year. I also have loads of other gift guides going live soon, with ideas for people who love makeup, home fragrance and much, much more. Make sure you keep an eye out for them!
Are you a skincare junkie? And would you be happy to find any of these gifts under your tree this Christmas?
