JD Williams Fashion Wishlist

JD Williams Fashion WishlistSince reaching my 30’s (it still feels weird to say that), I’ve noticed that the way I dress has changed a lot. I no longer try to squeeze into the latest must-have fashions, but instead tend to opt for something more comfy. But just because I want to be able to move around in comfort doesn’t mean I want to compromise on style. And that’s where I found I had a problem … no one seemed to cater for my needs!

Then one morning I found myself watching Lorraine on ITV, and I realised that even though she was a woman in her fifties I’d never seen her look anything but amazing! The outfit she was wearing that particular day was stunning, and later in the afternoon someone had  asked via social media where it was from, and she’d replied saying it was from a place called JD Williams.

Now, I’d heard of JD Williams before, as I’d seen their ads on TV, but I have to admit that I’d never actually looked at their website. Until that day anyway. That day I discovered that they actually sell some amazing pieces that I would love to own. For today’s post I thought I would create a wishlist of 10 items from JD Williams that I would really like to get my hands on. I hope you like them as much as I do!

JD WIlliams Lace TopLace Top
If there’s one thing I’m lacking in my current wardrobe, it’s going out tops. I went to see the American Idiot Musical a couple of weeks ago and I really struggled to find something appropriate to wear!

I wish I had seen this beautiful silver grey lace top from JD Williams before that night as I would most definitely have picked one up to go out in. The top is cut to flatter in an easy-fit design with short sleeves, and it even has a jersey camisole to wear underneath. I wear camisoles under everything so this is a bonus for me! Absolutely gorgeous and perfect for summer evenings out on the town!

JD Williams Marble Print Wrap Back TopMarble Print Wrap Back Top
I’m not gonna lie, I probably don’t need any more tops to wear in the day time – my wardrobe is already chock-a-block with plenty of different ones I can wear. However, when I see something that’s unlike anything else I own I just can’t resist splashing the cash and treating myself to it. And that’s exactly what I can see myself doing with this pretty marble print wrap back top from JD Williams!

I feel that this top could be dressed up with a smart pair of black trousers, or down with a pair of skinny jeans, and I love that it has a twist detail on the back. I think the print is really unique – I’ve honestly never seen anything like it before, and the three-quarter sleeves are right up my street. Another lovely piece that I really want to own!

JD Williams Tie Sleeve TunicTie Sleeve Tunic
I have to say that I like to have plenty of items in my wardrobe that are super effortless to wear, and this tie sleeve tunic most definitely ticks that box!

The tunic puts a modern twist on the classic blouse. With a notch neckline and three-quarter sleeves finished with a gorgeous tie detail, this pull-on style is casual yet effortlessly chic. I can’t help but think that this is something the French ladies would wear. After all, they’re known for their great sense of fashion! It really is beautiful, and something I could see myself wearing on my summer vacation.

JD Williams Printed TunicPrinted Tunic
I love owning clothes that I can just ‘throw on’ when I’m feeling lazy, so this printed tunic rint from JD Williams is just perfect for me!

The tunic is made from a dark grey material and features a cute heart print all over it. It has long sleeves, and it looks as though they have a slightly different texture to the body part, which gives it quite a fun feel. If I bought one of these I would wear it with jeggings on lazy Sunday’s when I don’t plan on leaving the house!

JD Williams Tweed Duffle CoatTweed Duffle Coat
It’s very rare I find a coat that I like and think will suit me – and the last one I bought has pretty much been worn to death! So when I came across this gorgeous tweed duffle coat online at JD Williams my heart literally skipped a beat!

The coat would be ideal to take me through from late Autumn to Winter, and is available in 2 lengths. Since I hate super long coats I think I should be able to pick this up in a length that is perfect for me. It features a practical hood, large patch pockets and tab-and-button detailing on the cuffs of the sleeves. It’s different to the other couple of coats I own as it has black toggle-and-loop fastenings, whereas my others have either buttons or poppers, and I like this idea as I hate having everything the same! I think it’s really pretty and I know I would get a lot of wear out of it if I bought it, which is great.

JD Williams Ditsy Print Wrap DressDitsy Print Wrap Dress
Summer has finally arrived here in the UK this week, so I think it’s about time I treated myself to a couple of nice new dresses to wear while it’s nice and warm(ish).

I’ve seen two I really like on the JD Williams website, and the first is this gorgeous ditsy print wrap dress with three-quarter sleeves. The dress is made from a lovely soft, stretchy material, so it’s perfect to wear in the day time. The dress is designed to skim your curves, but it also has a belt for cinching in your waist! The dress looks really elegant thanks to the wrap-around front, and I just love the navy blue colour with the ditsy print on top of it. It’s absolutely gorgeous!

JD Williams Button Sleeve Shirt DressButton Sleeve Shirt Dress
Shirts have really become my ‘thing’ recently, so when I spotted this gorgeous button-sleeve shirt-style dress in a beautiful burgundy colour I just knew I had to add it to my wishlist!

This dress is perfect for bringing some utility chic to the wardrobe this summer, and it features button-down detailing, collar, three-quarter sleeves with a button cuff and a drawstring waist. I think this could be worn dressed up with heels, or dressed down with leggings and flats. Either way, it’s bound to make heads turn. I love it!

JD Williams Embellished Maxi DressEmbellished Maxi Dress
My niece is getting married next year so I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect maxi dress to wear for the occasion ever since I found out they’d set the date!

I absolutely love this stunning embellished maxi by Joanna Hope, which is exclusive to JD Williams. It is a beautiful pale grey colour and is said to be inspired by vintage glamour. I really like that this particular dress has cape-like detailing at the top as I hate having my upper arms showing, but this would cover them perfectly. And I think it would look lovely with heels for the wedding itself, and then a flatter shoe for dancing at the reception. It’s truly exquisite!

JD Williams Crop JeansCropped Jeans
One thing I’ve not bought for years are a pair of cropped jeans. And I used to practically live in them in the summer months when I was younger!

I really love this pair I found on the JD Williams website. They’re plain and simple, which is what I want from something like this, yet they look really nice and would go with a lot of different tops from my wardrobe! The jeans are made in a stretch denim with full back-concealed elasticated waistband to offer extra comfort when worn, and they come in lots of lovely different colours as well. Brilliant!

JD Williams Super Stretch Skinny JeansSkinny Jeans
I usually buy my jeans and jeggings from New Look, but I tend to opt for the same shades and styles every single time, and I’m sure people must think that I wear the same pair day in, day out!

These Chloe Skinny Jeans from JD Williams look a lot classier than the ones I usually buy, and they’re crafted from a comfortable and flattering super-stretch denim. I like that they’re available in a range of on-trend colours, and I think they’d go well with heels, flats and boots, which would make them super versatile. I really like them and may pick up a few pairs in different colours to see me through the next few months!

And there you have it – my JD Williams Fashion Wishlist. It was so hard to whittle it down to just 10 items as they have so many gorgeous pieces for sale at the moment. I could easily spend a small fortune!

What do you think of the pieces I picked out today?

I’ve never shopped with them before because I am not into fashion that much but I do like the printed tunic. That would be my kind of style.
