Oh my goodness, can you guys believe that Fathers Day in the UK is almost upon us?! This year is going ridiculously fast! And it’s time for me to pick out another 10 gifts that I’m sure any dad would be over the moon to receive this year. I hope you guys like them …
Papasaurus Mug – £9.99
The first gift I’ve chosen to include in this gift guide is this gorgeous Papasaurus Fathers Day mug from Prints With Feelings. It popped up on my Instagram feed last year but they had sold out before I managed to get my hands on one so I made sure I ordered early this year so the kids could include it in a hamper they’re making Nathan for Fathers Day.
The mug is made from white ceramic and features a high quality dinosaur print, surrounded by cute little love hearts and the words ‘Happy Fathers Day Papasaurus’. It’s absolutely adorable and perfect for any dad who enjoys a nice cup of tea or coffee. I love it!
Peppa Pig ‘My Daddy’ Personalised Book – £14.99
If the daddy in your life enjoys watching Peppa Pig with his little ones then I have the perfect Fathers Day gift idea for you – you’re gonna love it! It’s a personalised ‘My Daddy’ book in which your child and their daddy star alongside Peppa and Daddy Pig in a lovely little story where they list all of the things they love about their daddies! Aww.
The book can be personalised to include your child’s name, hairstyle and colour, skin tone and eye colour and their Daddy’s hairstyle and colour, skin tone, eye colour and the option to add facial hair and glasses. You can also add a personal message at the front of the book, but at the moment you can’t alter the actual storyline. But it’s a charming little story anyway so I don’t think that would be an issue for anyone. And I’ve just spotted that you can buy a ‘My Grandpa’ version of this book as well, which is ideal for those of us who like to treat their grandad’s to a little something on Fathers Day too.
L’Homme Collection Candle : Scotch Whiskey – £37.50
If your dad is a fan of burning candles then why not treat him to this gorgeous one from Amara that smells like – wait for it – Scotch Whiskey! I was kindly sent one of these to try out and it really is a fabulous candle. It has the lovely subtle honey scent to it which you so often smell in whiskey, and I was extremely impressed with just how evenly it burned, as it means it’s much more likely to last for the full 40 hours of burn time it claims to.
The candle is encased in a smoked brown glass vessel and is presented in a gorgeous crocodile effect gift box with a wax seal on the front – perfect for the modern gentleman and a gift that dad is sure to love this Fathers Day!
Stag Canvas – from £65
As soon as I saw this wonderful Stag Canvas on the popular website, Not on the High Street, I just knew I had to include it in this years Fathers Day Gift Guide. There’s definitely something really magical about the look of a deer and I feel that the artist has managed to capture its beauty stunningly in this particular piece.
The artwork is available to buy in 5 different sizes, and is professionally printed on 100% cotton canvas then stretched by hand and gallery wrapped around a 38mm wooden frame so it’s ready to hang instantly as soon as the lucky recipient gets their hands on it! I think that this is something both my own dad and Nathan would love to receive as a gift, and I’m sure there are millions of other men around the world who would do to. It’s just gorgeous!
Desktop Cinema Light Box – £14.99
Cinema Light Boxes are all the rage at the moment, and I love this desktop version I found over on the Firebox website. At just £14.99 it’s a total bargain, and comes with 69 flexible interchangeable acetate letters, numbers, and symbols that dad could use to spell out words on 3 rows of space. The light box is powered by batteries, so he can pop it wherever he wants to, and there are also fixings on the back so it can be mounted on the wall.
I think this would make a really cool, unique gift idea for the fun-loving dad, and it’s bound to be talked about as one of the best gifts he’s ever received for years to come. You could even spell out ‘Happy Fathers Day’ on the light box before you wrap it and give it to him to make it even more special. Is it wrong that I want one for myself now?!
Cardholder Wallet – £19.99
If your dad is the sort of guy who likes to keep his driving license and debit and credit cards super duper safe then why not treat him to this amazing Cardholder Wallet from Menkind this Fathers Day? The stylish wallet is an ideal way to keep all the details from his cards protected in a compact and secure aluminium case, safeguarding them from RFID (remote radio-frequency identification) and NFC (near field communication) skimming.
The wallet is available to buy in 9 different colours, and can hold up to six different cards at a time. To access them all you need to do is push a little trigger at the side and they will pop up at different levels so it’s easier to get them out than it would be when using a regular wallet! And as well as protecting his data, the aluminium casing will also protect dads cards from every day wear and tear as well. How awesome is that?!
Star Wars Stormtrooper Bluetooth Speaker – £39.99
If you watched Britain’s Got Talent this year you’ll already know how much Stormtrooper’s love to boogie! So if your dad is a die-hard Star Wars fan, and loves to listen to music then this Stormtrooper Bluetooth Speaker will be right up his street.
The awesome speaker, which is shaped just like a Stormtrooper’s helmet, can be connected to any device via Bluetooth, or it can be attached using an audio jack cable … whichever dad prefers! And you don’t have to worry about him moaning that he’s getting through batteries faster than the speed of light because this particular speaker has one built in that can be charged via the USB cable included. It’s seriously out of this world!
Hamper of Seascape ‘Homme’ Products – £16 each
For the dad who has everything, or for one who likes to try out nice new male grooming products every once in a while, I highly recommend filling him a little box or basket full of products from Seascape’s ‘Homme’ range. They all smell absolutely divine as well as being specifically designed to reinvigorate and refresh the daily grooming routine. And as with all of Seascape’s ranges, each of the products include a selection of powerful, natural ingredients.
At the moment the ‘Homme’ range includes 3 wonderful products : a 300ml body wash, a 100ml shave gel and a 100ml daily moisturiser, all packaged beautifully and featuring the recognizable Seascape seahorse on the front. I think they’re absolutely great and am considering picking some up for my own dad this Fathers Day.
Driving Experience – £99
Another present I’ve been considering getting for my dad is a driving experience. And this one from Find Me A Gift looks amazing because he can choose to drive one of four top of the range cars – a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin or Audi R8. I think it’s probably most car lovers’ dream to be able to drive something like these so it would make a super special gift that they’re bound to remember forever.
One of the reasons I’d like to get my dad a voucher to do something like this is because sadly he had a stroke last year and hasn’t driven his car since. I know he’d really like to, but since it happened he’s lost a lot of his confidence and worries that he’ll forget to check simple things like whether or not there’s petrol in the car, or that his tyres might wear down and he won’t notice whereas before he’d have been on the phone to Point-S straight away to get replacement ones. I guess what I’m saying is that with a driving experience it would be someone else’s job to ensure that everything is safe and sound and he can just sit back, relax and enjoy driving around for a couple of hours! And of course I can go along with him and cheer him on. I think it would do wonders for his self-esteem!
This particular experience is available at loads of locations around the UK, including Oulton Park in Cheshire, Donnington in Derbyshire, Three Sisters in Lancashire, Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire, Blyton Park in Lincolnshire, Elvington in North Yorkshire, Rockingham in Northamptonshire, Great Tew in Oxfordshire, Chertsey in Surrey. Full terms and conditions can be found on the website.
Black Dust Suede Bomber Jacket – £125
This year the bomber jacket has made a massive comeback, and I love this sand coloured suede one I found over at ASOS this week! It has a zip-up fastening, baseball collar and ribbed hem and cuffs, and it’s also lined and features an internal pocket. At £125 it’s quite pricey, but as it’s 100% real leather I think it’s worth it – especially if you’re looking to spend a little more on your dad this year.
And if you like this jacket but aren’t wanting to spend quite that much money on a gift this year then ASOS also do a very similar version in a cotton material which comes in at just £32. You can take a look at that particular one by clicking here.
And that’s all the gifts I’ve picked out for this years Fathers Day Gift Guide. I hope you like them and that it’s given you some inspiration for what to buy your own dads and/or grandad’s this year.
