Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser – Firming with Q10

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser with Q10Nivea’s In-Shower Body Moisturiser is a product that I’ve been using on a regular basis for a couple of years now, so when I heard that they’d recently brought out a new firming version of it with Q10, I just knew I had to give it a whirl!

Incase you haven’t come across Q10 before let me tell you a little bit about it. It’s basically a co-enzyme which is found naturally in our bodies and enhances skin regeneration and repair – increasing collagen and elastin that keep your skin looking and feeling young, supple and healthy. As we get older, our body’s natural production of Q10 declines, so using products with it as an ingredient can be really beneficial.

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser with Q10 InstructionsThe In-Shower Body Moisturiser is also really quick and simple to use – all you do is wash with your usual shower gel or body wash as normal, then, while your skin is still wet, massage in the moisturiser and rinse. I love how quickly the product absorbs into wet skin and eliminates the need for any additional body lotions once I’ve got out of the shower and dried myself off. I’m sure most of you would agree that most regular body lotions seem to take forever to sink into the skin!

Product with Yellow Q10 BeadsThe product itself is a fairly thick cream, and you can see the yellow Q10 beads suspended inside. As you massage it in to the skin you can feel the difference straight away, and although I shower pretty much every day, whenever I’ve missed one I’ve noticed that my skin still feels lovely and moisturised, proving that Nivea’s claims of this giving 24 hour plus care is correct. And, despite worries that the Q10 beads might leave yellow stains on my towels, I was pleased to find that they don’t. Fabulous!

Nivea In-Shower Product TubeThe scent of this particular Nivea product is unlike their usual smell – it seems a lot fresher, and I really like that. One of the ingredients in it is menthol, and since catching a cold I’ve been able to tell that it’s in there. It sort of hits me at the back of the throat while I’m showering, and makes me feel a little better!

I noticed that it says on the bottle that when you’ve used this product your skin will feel tightened with a slight cooling sensation. I would say this is true. I find that I can’t always feel the tightening, but my skin is most definitely firmer than it was before. And I can always feel a cooling sensation once I’ve rinsed the product off.

Nivea In-Shower Body ProductsAs I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I’ve been using the original version of the In-Shower Body Moisturiser for a good couple of years now, and I think this one works just as well as that one does, but is obviously a lot more beneficial to those of us over 30.

Nivea also changed the shape of the bottle recently, and I’ve found that it’s made the product so much easier to use. Before, I was having to work really hard to squeeze the product out after a couple of uses, whereas it’s now super easy to get what I need.

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser with Q10The Nivea Q10 In-Shower Body Moisturiser is currently only available in a 250ml size, but I’m hoping that a larger size will hit the shelves soon. I think it’s an absolutely fantastic product, and I will definitely be repurchasing it soon.

This looks like it’s great for the skin especially since my skin gets dry a lot. I live in Colombia so I’m going to check the local supermarket/drug store if they have this particular Nivea product.

Sorry for confusing you chick, it’s actually a body moisturiser not a shower gel. You just use it in the shower instead of applying it afterwards. I’ve bought a lot of regular body lotions at a similar price to this 🙂 X
