Mothers Day Gift Guide

Mothers Day Gift Guide 2015With Mothers Day in the UK just around the corner, I thought I’d put together a little compilation of my favourite gift ideas that I’m sure any mum would love to receive …

Mummy Deer MugMummy Deer Mug from Mclaggen Smith
I’ve been a big fan of Mclaggen Smith mugs for a while now, and when I saw these gorgeous china ‘Mummy Deer’ ones on their website recently I just knew I had to include them!! They’re super affordable, really cute, and for an extra fiver you can personalise the handle. Perfect for the mum who has everything, or just enjoys a nice cup of tea or coffee.

Spa Day at Ragdale HallClarins Mum and Me Time at Ragdale Hall Spa
Last year, I visited Ragdale Hall Health, Hydro & Thermal Spa, which is situated in the rolling Leicestershire countryside. It’s absolutely beautiful there, and I  can honestly say I had the most wonderfully relaxing day ever. I was looking at their website a couple of weeks ago to see if they had any special Mothers Day packages available, and I came across the ‘Clarins Mum and Me Time’ one.

The package is for two people and includes a 40 minute Clarins Serenity Facial, 3 course buffet lunch, a Clarins beauty gift each, Clarins skincare consultation and full use of the Thermal Spa, relaxation areas, swimming pools, gymnasium and choice of exercise and relaxation classes. I think this offers fantastic value for money and would make a wonderful gift for a very special mum.

Yucoco Personalised ChocolateYucoco Personalised Chocolate Bar
I don’t know about you, but I’m one of those ladies who just loves to receive chocolate gifts, and at the moment I’m obsessed with a company called Yucoco, who allow you to come up with your very own chocolate creation online, then they post it out to you!

Yucoco creations are really simple to make, you start by choosing whether you want dark, milk, white, or a mixture of all 3 chocolates as the base, then you add on up to 5 toppings such as fruit, nuts, sweet treats and drizzle. You can even personalise each bar further by giving it a name and adding in a special message. I love how unique this particular gift is, and I’m actually having a bar made for my own mum this Mothers Day. But shh, don’t tell her!

Sweet Tree

Ferrero Rocher Sweet Tree
Another awesome chocolate gift idea for is a sweet tree made from delicious Ferrero Rocher. Yum! These look absolutely amazing and are a great alternative to a regular old box of chocolates. These are available in loads of different varieties as well, such as mixed truffles, minstrels, malteasers any many more.

May Life Be Filled With Sunshine & Flowers JugThe Bright Side Metal Ewer
If, like me, you have a lot of siblings, you might find that your mum ends up with more bouquets of flowers than a little on Mothers Day. So why not treat her to something to put them in? I love this metal ewer from The Bright Side. It would look gorgeous on the windowsill with or without flowers in and I love the black and blue print on the front. I’m sure my own mum would love it.

The Bright Side Metal Ewer – £15.00

Seychelles CandleThe White Company Seychelles Candle
I absolutely love candles. I love buying them for myself, and I love giving and receiving them as gifts. One of my all time favourite candles is from a place called The White Company, and it’s their Seychelles Signature Candle. It smells amazing, and because it’s made of high quality mineral wax it burns a lot more evenly than other candles I’ve bought in the past. It’s just fabulous!

High Tea Nail Lacquer CollectionHigh Tea Nail Lacquer Collection from Butter London
If your mum is in need of some ‘me time’ then the High Tea Nail Lacquer Collection from Butter London would be perfect for her. The set contains four 6ml nail polishes in absolutely stunning shades. Two of them are quite classic, pastel shades and the other two are more bold and daring. What’s more, the mint creme colour is exclusive to this particular set, so you won’t be able to find it anywhere else. And Butter London polishes are free from the 3 big chemical nasties : Formaldehyde, Toluene and DBP. What’s not to love?!

Heart & Initial NecklaceSilver Sweet Heart Charm Necklace from Lily Charmed
I don’t think you can ever go wrong with buying a nice piece of jewellery for a loved one. Especially if it’s nothing too fussy. I love these silver sweet heart charm necklaces from Lily Charmed. They come in 2 different chain lengths, and you can choose whether you have the dainty heart charm in a matte or polished finish. You can even make it extra special by adding on a second charm in the initial of your choice. Aww.
